Disability Confident

As a Disability Confident Employer, we encourage those with disabilities to apply for jobs under the Disability Confident Scheme. People applying under the Disability Confident Scheme disclose they have a disability and meet the minimum criteria for a job vacancy will be offered an interview.  

Whilst not all two tick candidates are guaranteed an interview, those candidates that meet the minimum essential criteria when shortlisted must be invited to Interview under the 'Guaranteed Interview Scheme'. 

Where reasonable adjustments are request prior to interview, we will do out best to accommodate those needs. 

Zero Suicide

Sadly, more than 6,000 people in the UK die by suicide every year.

Cumbria Health Support the Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA) initiative which is a national charity which aim to empower, educate, and equip individuals and organisations to support suicide awareness and prevention. They provide a small selection of free online training courses with the aim of educating people about suicide awareness, autism and social isolation with specific courses focusing on veterans, prisoners, university students etc.

Cumbria Health are members of The Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). The scheme acknowledges that we provide exceptional support to the Armed Forces community and Defence by going above and beyond their Covenant pledges.

As a Bronze award holder, we promote being armed forces-friendly and pledge to support the armed forces, including existing or prospective employees who are members of the community. 

We have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and endeavour to uphold the key principle:
